Painting Little Faces was originally conceived by award-winning face painter Derrick Little, and subsequently developed with the help of photographers Ana Schecter, Deidre Schoo and author Matthew Porter, Phd.
Derrick Little creates art from his heart. He finds familiarity in the fantastic and with a brush full of color he redefines the potential in every face he paints. He loves kids because kids are closer to "The Source".
Deidre Schoo possesses a dark wit, which penetrates the tassel, the 10-gallon hat, the cough, and the badge, then settles on the personality. Her photographic work has been recognized and rewarded by various organizations and publications. She studied at ICP in New York and lives in Brooklyn.
Ana Schecter spends her time photographing vibrant portraits of both people and places. Originally from California, Anna made her way to New York City after graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography with a B.A. in photography.
Matthew Porter, Ph.D. is an artist, musician, clinical psychologist and psychonaut. His work explores the relationship between authenticity, creativity, and spirituality. He has published several articles in academic journals including a milestone piece on the subject of trauma, context, and resilience in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
